Bellamah Vein Center Donates Thousands of Dollars to Ava Nicole Breast Health Fund to Help Fight Breast Cancer in Montana and Agrees to Match Donations Until November 1st.

MISSOULA – It is estimated that 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer in their lifetime. In Montana, breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among women, and the second most common cause of cancer deaths. This is why Bellamah Vein Center is donating thousands of dollars to the Ava Nicole Breast Health Fund at Foundation for Community Health to support care-related costs for breast health patients in Western Montana.

“We are asking media outlets and citizens in Montana to help us raise even more money in the fight against breast cancer in Western Montana from now through November 1st,” said Dr. David Bellamah, owner and medical director at Bellamah Vein Center. We need to get the word out to all of Montana. The link to donate today online is here:

With the support of Dr. David Bellamah and Bellamah Vein Center, Foundation for Community Health is asking the community to join in the effort to support breast health patients with a gift to Ava Nicole Breast Health Fund. Started in 2009 by Ava Michelle Weaver Knowles and Nicole Taule, the Ava Nicole Breast Health Fund provides assistance to patients with financial need for screenings and care-related items, and professional development scholarships for provider education so that we can ensure Western Montana breast health patients are receiving the highest quality of care. Recently, a recipient sent a card to the Foundation sharing these sentiments:

“I am so grateful for your assistance in meeting my medical expense. As a single parent suddenly faced with healthcare costs, my heart was uplifted to receive such generosity and be able to feel immense relief. My family and I send our heartfelt thanks!”

Gifts to Ava Nicole Breast Health Fund are more important than ever during the pandemic as community members face added financial and other stressors. Gifts will stretch even further this year, as Bellamah Vein Center will match up to $2,000.

Dr. Bellamah and Bellamah Vein Center have a personal commitment in the fight against breast cancer. Dr. Bellamah’s mother, family members, and patients have all suffered greatly in the fight against breast cancer and Dr. Bellamah hopes to inspire others to become much more educated about the fight against breast cancer and also donate today.

“Bellamah Vein Center is proud to be involved with the fight against breast cancer with Foundation for Community Health’s Ava Nicole Breast Health Fund in memory of my mother and other family members and friends still fighting breast cancer,” said Dr. Bellamah. We have donated for years and we plan to continue our commitment to our community in the future,” continued Dr. Bellamah.
